Great find - I do think the title is a little click-baity... but I guess it was an interesting read so...

Yeah, as I was reading this I was thinking "I'm pretty sure we were supposed to emit an approval event on transfer", but you make a good point on it. Technically, it is redundant information since an indexer should be able to know that when a transfer event happens they should handle it as an approval event as well.
